Češka senzacija Markéta Vondroušová (24) prošle je godine osvojila pojedinačno prvenstvo za žene, pobijedivši favoriziranu Ons Jabeur u jednom od najnevjerojatnijih trijumfa u povijesti Wimbledona. Aktualna pobjednica turnira u All England Clubu samo godinu dana nakon toga podviga objavila je da joj se život raspada. Naime, u procesu razvoda je od svoga supruga - koji se već odselio s njihovom mačkom - pišu Sportske novosti.

24-godišnja Vondroušová udala se za bivšeg tenisača Štěpána Šimeka u srpnju 2022. nakon što su bili zaručeni nešto manje od godinu dana. No, par se sada razišao manje od 12 mjeseci nakon što je Čehinja proslavila svoju povijesnu pobjedu nad Ons Jabeur na središnjem terenu Wimbledona.

Nakon što je sjajno osvojila ženski pojedinačni turnir, Vondroušová je u finalu pobijedila favoritkinju Jabeur u dva seta, 6-4, 6-4, postavši prva igračica u povijesti koja je osvojila Wimbledon, a da nije imala status nositelja.

Njena veza sa Šimekom, bivšim tenisačem a sada IT menadžerom, počela je dok su još bili tinejdžeri 2016. Zaprosio ju je pet godina kasnije, nedugo nakon što je Vondroušová osvojila srebrnu medalju za svoju zemlju na Olimpijskim igrama u Tokiju u kolovozu 2021. Šimek je bio prisiljen odustati od tenisa zbog ozljeda i čini se da je tu bio početak kraja njihove veze. Sve je kulminiralo ovih dana kada je otišao i uzeo njezinu voljenu sfinks mačku, Frankieja, što je tenisačicu jako pogodilo.

"Definitivno nisam sretna u posljednjih nekoliko tjedana", rekla je Vondroušová češkom portalu Blesk. “Moj brak sa Štěpánom završio je prije nekoliko tjedana, prekinuli smo. On se odselio s mačkom."

"Jednostavno nam nije išlo. Nije bilo ono što smo oboje zamišljali pa smo se dogovorili da više nećemo biti zajedno. Sada formalno rješavamo razvod, sve smo već dogovorili."

No, to nije jedina tragedija u njenom životu. Vondroušová se razvodi samo mjesec dana nakon što se ranije vratila kući s Indian Wells Opena kako bi bila s djedom. U to vrijeme on se liječio od raka i preminuo je nekoliko dana nakon njezina povratka.

“U Americi sam saznala da mu više nije dobro pa sam ga svakako željela ponovno vidjeti i pozdraviti se s njim“, rekla je Vondrousova. “Jako mi je drago što sam stigla na vrijeme. On je i dalje osjećao da smo povezani."

"Moj djed je bio osoba koja je stajala na samom početku moje teniske karijere, bio je tu za sve važno. Bez njega nikada ne bih postigla ovo što sam napravila u svojoj karijeri."

Češka senzacija Markéta Vondroušová (24) prošle je godine osvojila pojedinačno prvenstvo za žene, pobijedivši favoriziranu Ons Jabeur u jednom od najnevjerojatnijih trijumfa u povijesti Wimbledona. Aktualna pobjednica turnira u All England Clubu samo godinu dana nakon toga podviga objavila je da joj se život raspada. Naime, u procesu razvoda je od svoga supruga - koji se već odselio s njihovom mačkom - pišu Sportske novosti.

24-godišnja Vondroušová udala se za bivšeg tenisača Štěpána Šimeka u srpnju 2022. nakon što su bili zaručeni nešto manje od godinu dana. No, par se sada razišao manje od 12 mjeseci nakon što je Čehinja proslavila svoju povijesnu pobjedu nad Ons Jabeur na središnjem terenu Wimbledona.

Nakon što je sjajno osvojila ženski pojedinačni turnir, Vondroušová je u finalu pobijedila favoritkinju Jabeur u dva seta, 6-4, 6-4, postavši prva igračica u povijesti koja je osvojila Wimbledon, a da nije imala status nositelja.

Njena veza sa Šimekom, bivšim tenisačem a sada IT menadžerom, počela je dok su još bili tinejdžeri 2016. Zaprosio ju je pet godina kasnije, nedugo nakon što je Vondroušová osvojila srebrnu medalju za svoju zemlju na Olimpijskim igrama u Tokiju u kolovozu 2021. "Definitivno nisam sretna u posljednjih nekoliko tjedana", rekla je Vondroušová češkom portalu Blesk. “Moj brak sa Štěpánom završio je prije nekoliko tjedana, prekinuli smo. On se odselio s mačkom."

"Jednostavno nam nije išlo. Nije bilo ono što smo oboje zamišljali pa smo se dogovorili da više nećemo biti zajedno. Sada formalno rješavamo razvod, sve smo već dogovorili."

No, to nije jedina tragedija u njenom životu. Vondroušová se razvodi samo mjesec dana nakon što se ranije vratila kući s Indian Wells Opena kako bi bila s djedom. U to vrijeme on se liječio od raka i preminuo je nekoliko dana nakon njezina povratka.

“U Americi sam saznala da mu više nije dobro pa sam ga svakako željela ponovno vidjeti i pozdraviti se s njim“, rekla je Vondrousova. “Jako mi je drago što sam stigla na vrijeme. On je i dalje osjećao da smo povezani."

Češka senzacija Markéta Vondroušová (24) prošle je godine osvojila pojedinačno prvenstvo za žene, pobijedivši favoriziranu Ons Jabeur u jednom od najnevjerojatnijih trijumfa u povijesti Wimbledona. Aktualna pobjednica turnira u All England Clubu samo godinu dana nakon toga podviga objavila je da joj se život raspada. Naime, u procesu razvoda je od svoga supruga - koji se već odselio s njihovom mačkom - pišu Sportske novosti.

24-godišnja Vondroušová udala se za bivšeg tenisača Štěpána Šimeka u srpnju 2022. nakon što su bili zaručeni nešto manje od godinu dana. No, par se sada razišao manje od 12 mjeseci nakon što je Čehinja proslavila svoju povijesnu pobjedu nad Ons Jabeur na središnjem terenu Wimbledona.

Nakon što je sjajno osvojila ženski pojedinačni turnir, Vondroušová je u finalu pobijedila favoritkinju Jabeur u dva seta, 6-4, 6-4, postavši prva igračica u povijesti koja je osvojila Wimbledon, a da nije imala status nositelja.

Njena veza sa Šimekom, bivšim tenisačem a sada IT menadžerom, počela je dok su još bili tinejdžeri 2016.
