Ovih dana baš je prometno na teniskim terenima na Firulama. I znamo da će neki reći da je uvijek tako, a posebno kad su u pitanju topli dani. Istina da je za gužvu na jednoj od omiljenih lokacija u Splitu donekle zaslužno i sunce, ali ovdje u prvi plan stavljamo tenis i dva turnira koja su došla do same završnice.

U sutrašnjem finalu Split Opena, turnira iz serije ATP Challegera 75 koje je na rasporedu od 11 sati neće biti hrvatskih predstavnika, već će se tamo opet naći Mađar Zsombor Piros (ATP - 114.) koji je sa 6-3, 6-3 u polufinalu bio bolji od 18-godišnji Mateja Dodiga (ATP – 420.).

Piros će naslov braniti protiv Slovaka Jozefa Kovalika (ATP - 179.), ovogodišnjeg pobjednika Zadar Opena, koji je u polufinalu nadigrao Francuza Benjamina Bonzija (ATP - 168.) sa 6-4, 6-3.

Domaći teren nije dao dovoljan vjetar u leđa Osječaninu, ali s obzirom na godine i iskustvo, Dodig ima razloga za slavlje, jer je u svom tek drugom Challengeru u karijeri stigao do polufinala.

- Nisam još igrao s ovakvim kalibrom igrača, malo me je iznenadio. Nisam mogao igrati svoju igru kako sam želio. No, zadovoljan sam s turnirom – kratko je nakon meča rekao Matej koji je odličnu priliku imao u sedmom gemu 2. seta pri rezultatu 3:3 kad je imao tri break-lopte (jedine u dvoboju) za vodstvo od 4:3. Ali, kao što je i sam rekao, s turnira može otići zadovoljan, a ono što su svi na tribini primijetili je kako je dobro namučio svog protivnika koji je nerijetko morao stati i doći do zraka.

“Ako uđu u treći set, kako će tek onda puvat” – bio je samo jedan od komentara u nizu. Nažalost, nismo mogli gledati Pirosa kako puše u 3. setu, ali viđeno samo potvrđuje odličnu fizičku formu mladog Osječanina koji je s četiri vrlo dobra meča u pet dana ušao u “top 400”.

- Super, ali neću se tu zadovoljiti – kratko je dobacio simpatični Dodig.

Spomenuli smo i drugi turnir koji se u isto vrijeme upriličio na Firulama, a riječ je o onom u kolicima, “Wheelchair Tennis Tour”. Sunce i teniska finala. Prema tome, nema razloga da ne protegnete noge do Firula.

Istina da je za gužvu na jednoj od omiljenih lokacija u Splitu donekle zaslužno i sunce, ali ovdje u prvi plan stavljamo tenis i dva turnira koja su došla do same završnice.

U sutrašnjem finalu Split Opena, turnira iz serije ATP Challegera 75 koje je na rasporedu od 11 sati neće biti hrvatskih predstavnika, već će se tamo opet naći Mađar Zsombor Piros (ATP - 114.) koji je sa 6-3, 6-3 u polufinalu bio bolji od 18-godišnji Mateja Dodiga (ATP – 420.).

Piros će naslov braniti protiv Slovaka Jozefa Kovalika (ATP - 179.), ovogodišnjeg pobjednika Zadar Opena, koji je u polufinalu nadigrao Francuza Benjamina Bonzija (ATP - 168.) sa 6-4, 6-3.

Domaći teren nije dao dovoljan vjetar u leđa Osječaninu, ali s obzirom na godine i iskustvo, Dodig ima razloga za slavlje, jer je u svom tek drugom Challengeru u karijeri stigao do polufinala.

- Nisam još igrao s ovakvim kalibrom igrača, malo me je iznenadio. Nisam mogao igrati svoju igru kako sam želio. No, zadovoljan sam s turnirom – kratko je nakon meča rekao Matej koji je odličnu priliku imao u sedmom gemu 2. seta pri rezultatu 3:3 kad je imao tri break-lopte (jedine u dvoboju) za vodstvo od 4:3. Ali, kao što je i sam rekao, s turnira može otići zadovoljan, a ono što su svi na tribini primijetili je kako je dobro namučio svog protivnika koji je nerijetko morao stati i doći do zraka.

“Ako uđu u treći set, kako će tek onda puvat” – bio je samo jedan od komentara u nizu. Nažalost, nismo mogli gledati Pirosa kako puše u 3. setu, ali viđeno samo potvrđuje odličnu fizičku formu mladog Osječanina koji je s četiri vrlo dobra meča u pet dana ušao u “top 400”.

- Super, ali neću se tu zadovoljiti – kratko je dobacio simpatični Dodig.

Spomenuli smo i drugi turnir koji se u isto vrijeme upriličio na Firulama, a riječ je o onom u kolicima, “Wheelchair Tennis Tour”. Sunce i teniska finala. Prema tome, nema razloga da ne protegnete noge do Firula.

Ovih dana baš je prometno na teniskim terenima na Firulama. I znamo da će neki reći da je uvijek tako, a posebno kad su u pitanju topli dani. Istina da je za gužvu na jednoj od omiljenih lokacija u Splitu donekle zaslužno i sunce, ali ovdje u prvi plan stavljamo tenis i dva turnira koja su došla do same završnice.
